Have Clinique, will travel.

cliniqueIf you want proof that great things really do come in small packages make sure you check out Clinique’s dinky new Travel Pros. A six-piece, reduced-sized travel kit it, features everything you need to look good on-the-go and even includes a teeny bottle of Clinique Happy For Men so you’ll always smell good too. My favourite product in the pack though has to be the positively Lilliputian Post Shave Soother which, at a mere 7cm tall, is possibly the cutest-looking grooming product you’ll ever see.

Available exclusively from Clinique Travel Retail Outlets worldwide.

Czech & Speake launch air safe manicure set

Air Safe Manicure SetWithout a doubt, terrorism has made air travel a royal pain in the ass. Much of the additional hassle, of course, comes from the restrictions as to what you can take on board the plane with you (who’d have thought a bottle of orange squash or a large tube of body moisturiser would be considered lethal?). Anyway, here’s a fantastic product that allows frequent fliers to arrive at their destination beautifully manicured. Czech & Speake‘s Air Safe Manicure Set includes everything a man needs for immaculately-manicured nails and has been designed to conform to international hand luggage restrictions. Especially good for businessmen I could have thought. Get it now, before some idiot tries to down a plane with a pair of nail clippers.

The Air Safe Manicure set is available on www.czechandspeake.com

Great things come in small packages: just ask Comme des Garçons

comme des garcons pocket collectionIt’s rare that a men’s fragrance can actually be described as being ‘cute’ but I’m really not sure how else to describe this new 25ml version of the classic Comme des Garçons 2Man fragrance which, as you can see, comes in a ‘pebble’ bottle smaller than your average smartphone. Part of Comme’s “Pocket Collection” –  which also features dinky versions of Comme des Garçons2, Amazing Green and Wonderwood –  it’s perfect for gym bags, travel and for office drawers. Men tend to be pretty complacent when it comes to topping up their eau de toilette during the day but with these beauties there’s absolutely no excuse for a flagging fragrance. And like I said they’re as a cute as a button. Or a pebble, as the case may be.

When in Boston….

aesop-kit-boston-travel-essentials
Having recently spent five days of a two week holiday in the US in the wonderful city of Boston, it seemed only natural that for that portion of my stay I should have packed this appropriately named urban travel kit from Aesop.

From now on, the wonderful smell of its Geranium Leaf Body Cleanser and citrus Rind Concentrate Body Cleanser will remind me of the amazing roof top apartment we rented in the city’s up-and-coming South End district.

The great thing about this set (apart from the fact that everything comes in a handy little case) is that the the sizes are absolutely perfect – so perfect that after my stay I was left with virtually nothing to lug back home. Beyond how wonderful everything  smells, like all Aesop products, the kit looks super-cool too. Which is just as well because, with temperatures in the high 80s, the weather that week was anything but.

Milk Scrub + Cleanse Wipes. Genius!

One of the drawbacks of our hectic, straight-out-clubbing-from-work existence is that there’s rarely time to refresh properly. And what about when you’re at a festival, your boiler packs in and there’s no hot water or you’re backpacking across Tasmania and need to freshen up? Well, these wipes might be the answer.

Part of the Milk range, created by medal-winning Aussie swimmer Michael Klim, they rather cleverly have a soft side and a rough exfoliating one so your can cleanse and polish skin and they can be used pretty much anywhere on the body as well as the face. They ‘re smell great thanks to rosemary and mint and contain soothing chamomile and aloe vera extract too.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not advocating becoming a total soap-dodger but for those times when you need to groom-on-the-go they’re an absolute godsend.

Clinique have travel fatigue licked with their new Daily Revitalizers duo

Along with stress and a lack of sleep travel has to be one of the most draining things for skin. Thankfully, Clinique have come up with this handy ‘Daily Revitalizers’ duo to keep you looking half decent.

Available exclusively at airports and duty free locations, with an RRP of £31.37, it features a Skin Supplies For Men M Lotion (a classic moisturiser) and the latest addition to the Skin Supplies range – the Anti-Fatigue Cooling Eye Gel, which features a cooling rollerball delivery system. To buy the pair normally would set you back over £40 so if you spot the set on your travels (literally) then snap one up!

Bag this from Aramis!

The Aramis Classic Traveller Bag - bag it while you can!
The Aramis Classic Traveller

Generally speaking I’m very skeptical of GWP’s (Gifts With Purchase). More often than not the ‘freebie’ in question wouldn’t even pass the rigorous selection procedure of an EastEnders market stall.

But I’m here to tell you to look out for the forthcoming Aramis traveller bag which comes free with any Aramis classic purchase over £29 from 30th July. I was lucky enough to road test one a couple of weeks ago on a birthday trip to Cornwall and it passed the test admirably.

Okay, so it ain’t leather but it’s roomy, robust and stylish too, so that ticks all the boxes for me. It’s a limited offer, though, so grab it while you can!
