Put to the test: Clinique Even Better Dark Spot Correcting Hand Cream

Like many people in their forties one of my main skin concerns (along with wrinkles) is pigmentation. Since I have what you might call Celtic colouring I’m prone to freckles anyway and although no-longer a sun worshipper (poppy red is not a good colour on me) my hands are showing the first tell-tale signs of sun damage.

So when Clinique’s Even Better Dark Sport Correcting Hand Cream SPF15 landed on my desk last week I decided to give it a go. As you can see from the pic my hands aren’t that bad but I’m still hoping that this product can live up to its promises and diminish the appearance of dark spots, sun spots and hyperpigmentation while protecting my hands from further damage.

Part of Clinique’s hugely popular Even Better range (which now includes four products for tackling pigmentation) the new hand cream is just the latest product in the burgeoning list of remedies for pigmentation out there and while tackling the problem is already a big trend with women it’s only a matter of time before men get in on the act too.

Since I’ve just started using the hand cream I’ll report back in exactly a month’s time – and then again a month after that – to let you know how I get on.

Clinique’s Even Better Dark Sport Correcting Hand Cream SPF15 is available exclusively from harrods from 15th May and nationwide from 18th June, priced £22.50 for 75ml.
